understanding-follows-transformation
# Understanding follows transformation Transformation does not add content to the mind; it reconfigures the machinery of knowing, so the values on the far side are cognitively inaccessible from here. You therefore cannot postpone action until understanding arrives: understanding is the consequence of transformation, not its condition. This is Callard's aspirational learning, the longing to become someone who can value what you cannot yet comprehend. The pattern must be trusted before it can be articulated.
