# The net determines the catch A girl points out to her fisherman father that the world contains only fish bigger than a quarter inch because his net has quarter-inch holes. Every instrument and method is a net: what it cannot catch does not exist to it, and the catch is then mistaken for the sea. The discipline is to keep asking what our nets are constitutionally unable to hold.
